Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on rooms and facilities, location, service, food, and value. For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses. The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards will live in the August print issue of the magazine, and will remain on the publication’s website as a guide for readers making travel plans through the end of 2026 and beyond.
