Travel presenter and Shannon Airport Ambassador Kathryn Thomas was back at Shannon this week, filming a new social media travel series, The Best Place to Fly From with Kathryn Thomas, which launches this Friday across the airport’s channels.

Shannon Airport is preparing for a busy August Bank Holiday, with more than 65,000 passengers expected to travel through the airport over the period. This represents an increase of 7% on the passenger numbers for the same period last year. The strong Bank Holiday forecast reflects Shannon Airport's continued growth in 2026.
