WTTC Announces Egyptian Tourism Authority as Latest Destination Partner

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced the Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) as a Destination Partner, strengthening collaboration with one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.

The partnership will enhance cooperation between WTTC and the ETA to promote sustainable tourism growth, strengthen public-private collaboration, and showcase Egypt’s diverse tourism experiences to travellers, investors, and industry stakeholders worldwide.

Home to one of the world’s oldest civilizations, Egypt today offers an exceptional blend of cultural heritage, world-class museums, pristine Red Sea resorts, luxury experiences, adventure tourism, wellness, yachting, and authentic local experiences. Guided by a Board of Directors chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and comprising leaders from across Egypt’s tourism, aviation, hospitality, and heritage sectors, the ETA leads the country’s international destination marketing efforts, develops strategic partnerships, supports the private sector, and promotes Egypt’s diverse tourism products across global markets.

Gloria Guevara, WTTC President & CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Egyptian Tourism Authority to WTTC. Egypt is one of the world’s most remarkable travel destinations, with an extraordinary legacy of history, culture, and unforgettable visitor experiences. We look forward to working closely with the ETA to advance sustainable tourism growth, strengthen international collaboration, and highlight the immense opportunities Egypt offers to travellers, businesses, and investors.

Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, said: “Joining the World Travel & Tourism Council as a Destination Partner reflects Egypt’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the global travel industry and the private sector to drive sustainable tourism growth. Through this partnership, we look forward to expanding our international reach, opening new opportunities across priority markets, and showcasing the full diversity of Egypt’s tourism experiences—from our unparalleled cultural heritage to our world-class coastal destinations and emerging tourism products.

"As Egypt continues to advance its tourism vision, collaboration with organizations such as WTTC plays an important role in enhancing our global competitiveness, increasing tourism value, attracting investment, and delivering exceptional visitor experiences. Together, we will continue positioning Egypt as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.”
