The next and final category in the VIVA Moments Photographer of the year competition is open now.
This is the last chance to qualify as a finalist and secure the final seat at the VIVA Cruises Table at the ITTN Irish Travel Trade Awards, where the winner will be announced and win the overall prize: a River Cruise for Two.
VIVA Moments – “Culture Vultures” Category Details for October
The “Culture Vultures” category celebrates a passion for the arts, history, and the beautiful tapestry of traditional life discovered while travelling. This theme is for explorers who bypass beach chairs to immerse themselves in local heritage, ancient architecture, and local customs. Let your lens capture the heartbeat of a destination's identity and tell a timeless story.
What Judges Are Likely Looking For
Depth and Heritage: Photos that spotlight historic landmarks, ancient ruins, museums, or striking architectural details that tell a story of the past.
Living Traditions: Authentic, unstaged moments of local artisans keeping traditional crafts alive, regional attire, lively cultural festivals, or sacred rituals.
Storytelling and Immersion: An image that shows a travel professional truly engaging with a destination's artistic pulse—such as catching a street performance, browsing an outdoor market, or admiring a piece of local art.

Focus on the Details: Look for the vibrant textures of a handwoven textile, the unique geometric patterns of historic tiling, or the raw emotion of a cultural performer.
Keep It Authentic: The strongest entries feel believable and spontaneous rather than overly curated, letting the destination's natural atmosphere shine through.

VIVA Moments Photographer of the year competition
Just upload your pictures (no more than 2) each month Viva Moments – Photographer of the Year Entry Form
You can enter each month if you wish (must be different pictures, so your odds of winning are even higher!)
Travel agents in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland can enter. You must own the picture; when you send it to us, include your full name and agency name, and don’t forget to add a caption!
Each month, the judges – ITTN along with Viva Cruises, Michelle Daniels & Stephan Sands- will select a monthly winner. Monthly winners will receive a Viva Rituals Gift Set & a ticket to the Irish Travel Trade Awards 2026, where Team Viva Cruises will host them.
On the night, one overall winner will be crowned and take home a fabulous river cruise on the Danube or the Rhine on one of the amazing ships of your choice.
