US Virgin Islands' Trunk Bay Ranked No.1 Beach in the World

The US Virgin Islands has once again solidified its reputation as one of the world's premier beach destinations, earning three coveted spots on Beach's 2026 World's Best Beaches list. Leading the rankings is Trunk Bay on St. John, which was named the No. 1 beach in the world.

Further showcasing the Territory's coastal beauty, Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge on St. Croix ranked No. 7, while Magens Bay Beach on St. Thomas secured the No. 17 spot, making the US Virgin Islands one of only a handful of destinations represented multiple times on the prestigious global list. 

Widely regarded as one of the Caribbean's most photographed beaches, Trunk Bay is celebrated for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, picturesque mountain backdrop, powder-soft white sand and world-famous underwater snorkeling trail within the Virgin Islands National Park.

Located on St. Croix's southwest coast, Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is a two-mile stretch of pristine shoreline known for its critical role as nesting habitat for endangered leatherback sea turtles. The beach is open to visitors seasonally, offering a rare opportunity to experience one of the Caribbean's most protected natural landscapes.

On St. Thomas, Magens Bay Beach continues to captivate visitors with its heart-shaped bay and calm waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and watersports.
