Trafalgar has announced its development into a global travel power brand by introducing new travel categories and bringing the 2027 portfolios of Insight Vacations and Costsaver under the single Trafalgar name to create a broader, simpler portfolio for travel agents and their clients.

The expanded portfolio will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year, ahead of the peak Black Friday booking period.

Building on nearly 80 years of guided travel expertise, the expanded Trafalgar will offer more than 600 itineraries across 75 countries and five ways to travel: Tours, Small Groups, River Cruises, Rail Journeys and Group Sales. Three value tiers – Saver, Classic and Premium – will make it easier for agents to identify and explain the right experience level and price point for each client, while retaining the product expertise and experiences they already know from Costsaver, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations.
The move marks the next stage in Trafalgar’s evolution beyond traditional guided touring, following its expansion into river cruising and small group travel.
“Travel agents have always been fundamental to our success in Ireland, so it was incredibly important to us that we take a trade-first approach to this next era for Trafalgar,” said Kelly Jackson, Managing Director & SVP Sales EMEA, TTC Tour Brands.

“This is ultimately about making ourselves easier to sell and giving agents more opportunities to grow their business. By bringing this breadth of product together under Trafalgar, agents can start with the customer – how they want to travel, the experience they’re looking for and their budget – and much more easily find the right holiday for them.
“With our biggest-ever investment in Trafalgar coming in 2027, we want our agent partners to understand the expanded portfolio, feel confident selling it and be ready to capitalise on the demand we intend to create. There are simply going to be many more reasons to sell Trafalgar.”
For 2027 departures, existing itineraries, experiences and pricing remain unchanged, with the change focused on how the portfolio is branded and presented to agents and travellers.

The evolution brings the distinct value propositions currently offered by Insight Vacations and Costsaver into the Trafalgar portfolio. Trafalgar’s new Premium offering will retain the elevated hotels, dining and experiences associated with Insight Vacations, while its Saver trips will continue to deliver the flexibility and value currently offered by Costsaver. The Classic tier will represent the Trafalgar experience agents know today.
“We’re bringing the portfolio together, but we’re not making the experiences all the same,” said Ms Jackson.
“That distinction is really important. The expertise, experiences and characteristics that agents and their clients value today remain – Premium retains the elevated stays, dining and experiences defined by Insight Vacations, while Saver continues to offer the value and flexibility associated with Costsaver.
“This isn’t about taking choice away; it’s about making an enormous amount of choice much easier to navigate. Ultimately, we want agents to be able to match the right Trafalgar experience to the right traveller more easily – and sell more as a result.”
The expanded portfolio will be supported by Trafalgar’s biggest-ever brand investment in 2027, designed to drive greater consumer awareness and demand while creating more opportunities for travel agents.
To help agents prepare, the Your New Era with Trafalgar hub is now live on TAP, bringing together information, training and resources on the expanded portfolio. Agents can join a live webinar on 3 September 2026 at 10am, request a training session from their Sales Manager or complete the new eLearning at their own pace.
Further enhancements will be introduced to TAP to make it easier for agents to navigate the five travel categories and three value tiers, with the expanded 2027 portfolio becoming live and bookable during Q4 2026.
