Supplier Spotlight: Discover the Mediterranean Aboard 'MSC World Asia'
ITTN's Supplier Spotlight features MSC Cruises, which shares insight into the highly anticipated MSC World Asia, coming to the Mediterranean in summer 2027.

Travellers look ahead to their next Mediterranean escape, MSC Cruises is bringing the art of Asia together with the art of cruising with the launch of MSC World Asia in December 2026 - offering a holiday where the big moments can be planned, while there’s always room for those unplanned moments that make holidays so special.
The newest addition to MSC Cruises’ World Class fleet, MSC World Asia will sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona, visiting Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina and Valletta. MSC Cruises’ Fly & Cruise packages make reaching the ship simple, with direct flights from Dublin, transfers and the cruise all combined in one convenient package.
A new World Class experience
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, and features a host of standout experiences, including the spectacular 12-metre Dragon sculpture, suspended above the Outdoor World Promenade and illuminated by more than 3,000 LED light points. For those seeking adventure, The Harbour outdoor park is home to The Spiral, the longest dry slide at sea, while Cliffhanger takes guests more than 50 metres above the ocean on an exhilarating over-water swing ride.
Alongside its adventure experiences, the ship offers a huge choice of dining, entertainment and relaxation, including the new Pan-Asian Street Food concept.
More ways to eat, drink and relax
Food and drink are central to the MSC World Asia experience, with more than 40 bars, lounges and dining venues, including six speciality restaurants.
A highlight is the new Pan-Asian Street Food concept, bringing together three experiences in one venue: a relaxed speciality restaurant, a dedicated Pan-Asian bar and a complimentary grab-and-go offering. Inspired by the vibrant street food culture of Southeast Asia, guests can discover flavours and influences from destinations including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The ship will also have five new bar and lounge concepts. The Terraces Bar & Lounge offers an Italian aperitivo experience with panoramic sea views, while the Sky Box Bar provides a more intimate setting for cocktails and mixology. Families can create their own drinks at the playful Clubhouse and Soda Bar, while Coral Cove Bar offers a relaxed poolside setting. The Pan-Asian Bar completes the new collection with Southeast Asian-inspired drinks and cocktails.
These join returning favourites including Fizz - Champagne Bar, All-Stars Sports Bar, Coffee Emporium and Masters of the Sea, giving guests plenty of choice from morning through to late evening.

Something for every traveller
Beyond its dining and nightlife offering, MSC World Asia has been designed with families, couples and groups in mind. Guests can enjoy dedicated kids’ clubs, two new LEGO® rooms, a roller-skating arena, the MSC Luna Park Arena, live entertainment and signature production shows in the World Theatre and Panorama Lounge.
There is also plenty of space to slow down, from the MSC Aurea Spa and pool areas to the ship’s outdoor spaces, allowing guests to make their time on board as relaxing or as action-packed as they choose.
Fly, cruise and discover
MSC World Asia combines the excitement of a brand-new World Class ship with the convenience of a Fly & Cruise package from Dublin.
For Summer 2027, guests can fly from Dublin to Barcelona to join MSC World Asia from just €1,529 per person departing on the 16th April 2027, offering a convenient way to experience the ship’s Mediterranean itineraries without the need to arrange flights and cruise separately.
From Barcelona, set sail on a seven-night journey visiting some of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after destinations, including Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina and Valletta. With flights and the cruise combined, travellers can enjoy a seamless holiday experience from Ireland, while unpacking just once as they discover a different destination almost every day.

Suzanne Rowe, Head of Sales Ireland at MSC Cruises, said:
“MSC World Asia brings together so many of the things our guests love about cruising - the opportunity to discover multiple destinations, exceptional choices on board and the convenience of our Fly & Cruise packages. We’re particularly excited to introduce the ship to the Irish market, with its new dining, entertainment and family experiences offering something for every type of traveller.”
