Spring Hotels Sees Near 11% Surge in Irish Bookings
Tenerife-based hotel group Spring Hotels has said its Irish strategy has delivered results, with it seeing a 10.6% year-on-year increase in guests from Ireland.

This is following its increased investment in the country, including the appointment of a new trade team, extended roadshows, sales missions and presence at Holiday World Show to drive awareness of the brand.
Comprising six hotels in Tenerife’s popular Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos, repeat bookers account for 26% of Spring Hotels’ Irish guests this year, while last-minute bookings have increased 23% year-on-year.
Joanne Robinson, Chief Sales Officer, Spring Hotels said: “The Irish market is really important to Spring, as they seem to love the Canary Islands and Tenerife in particular. We’re committed to supporting the Irish market and know that being easy to work with, accessible, evolving our offering and making training and booking as easy as possible is key to supporting the trade. We truly value our partners and the contribution they make to our overall growth strategy and are delighted to be welcoming more guests from Ireland.”
While the current overall demographic split across the portfolio is 73% couples,16% families, 5% singles and 5% friends, Hotel Cleopatra, Hotel Vulcano and Mediterranean Palace have seen a 40% increase in friendship groups arriving from Ireland, showcasing the growing appetite for group getaways and social experiences.
Don Clarke, Key Account Manager for Ireland, Spring Hotels, commented: “It’s fantastic to see the increase in Irish visitors to Spring Hotels. The particular increase in friendship group stays from Ireland really highlights the ongoing, upwards trend we’ve seen from travellers seeking social experiences that also allow them to explore the destination, enjoy seasonal cuisine and relax - such as Beats & Brunch at Hotel Vulcano.
“We know how important access to training and information, alongside ease of booking, is to our trade partners, and we will continue to invest in our platforms and in-person events to give agents the tools, knowledge and support they need to continue selling confidently.”
Over the past year, Spring Hotels has invested heavily in its partnerships and services within the Irish market. Last summer, the Tenerife hotel group embarked on an ambitious seven county roadshow, designed to provide as many frontline agents as possible with in-person training and a hands-on update about the group’s growing portfolio and booking tools.
In October, Spring Hotels reaffirmed its commitment to the Irish market with the appointment of Don Clarke as a Key Account Manager for Ireland, who immediately embarked on an intensive sales call mission. January saw the team head to the Holiday World Show at the RDS in Dublin to meet hundreds of consumers, strengthen relationships with existing travel partners and introduce the brand to new travel companies.
