Spooky Stuff at Halloween Horror Nights 35

ITTN’s Katie joined key travel trade and press last night in the Devlin Hotel’s downstairs movie theatre with Universal Destinations and Experiences to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights. The evening began with a cocktail reception before the group sat down to learn more about what makes Universal Destinations and Experience perfect for customers looking for a thrill!


Here’s everything you need to know:

  • Universal United Kingdom Resort is officially in construction since the beginning of this year after two years of due-diligence and evaluation! Located in Bedford, UK and just 45 minutes outside of London, Universal United Kingdom Resort will include a world-class theme park featuring several immersive lands with innovative attractions and story-driven experiences, alongside a 500-room hotel and a retail, dining, and entertainment complex.

  • The newly opened Universal Kids Resort in Frisco Texas is Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first-ever regional theme park specifically designed for kids. Guests can now plan an exciting “kidcation” to the park as tickets, on-site hotel packages and the park’s first annual pass option are now on sale. Across the 20-acre park, kids and their grown-ups will find fun at every turn at DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest and Puss in Boots Del Mar and the Isle of Curiosity featuring Gabby's Dollhouse.

  • Fast & Furious Hollywood Drift: Universal Studios Hollywood’s first high-speed outdoor roller coaster will open this summer, coinciding with the launch of a media campaign that includes a dynamic :30 spot featuring narration by Fast & Furious franchise producer, and longtime parks collaborator, Vin Diesel. The ride features groundbreaking 360-degree rotation technology as guests spin in motion at speeds up to 72 MPH, while flying along 4,100 feet of elaborate aerial track - the equivalent of nearly 12 football fields.



  • In Orlando, Universal Celestial Goodnight makes its official debut at Universal Epic Universe. Running nightly at park close, the event transforms Celestial Park into a spectacle featuring 600 synchronised light fixtures, over 350 larger-than-life fountains, seven million LED lights and a high-energy musical score. Inspired by the adventures found within the portals of Epic Universe - from the playful fun of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and the excitement of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, to the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter; the must-see experience culminates with a jaw-dropping fireworks display that provides the perfect ending to an action-packed day at the park.

  • Universal Horror Unleashed, the first-ever year-round horror experience is now open in the AREA15 District in Las Vegas – set in an abandoned production warehouse with four themed areas including Monsters, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scarecrow: The Reaping and The Exorcist: Believer!

  • The Upside Down returns to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights as the fifth and final season of the global phenomenon, Netflix’s Stranger Things in all-new haunted houses. The premier Halloween event begins on Friday 28 August at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday 3 September at Universal Studios Hollywood. Visitors can make their way through familiar scenes, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, as well as the scary realms of the Upside Down and the Abyss – hunted at every turn by Demogorgons, Vecna and other sinister creatures.   

  • Hellraiser will make its long-awaited Halloween Horror Nights debut in 2026 at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood. Inspired by Clive Barker’s horror franchise, the all-new haunted house will plunge guests into a nightmarish realm where they’ll encounter the twisted world of the Cenobites as they come face-to-face with the iconic Pinhead, with actor Doug Bradley reprising his character and lending his voice to both haunted houses in Hollywood and Orlando.

  • From August 21st to November 1st at Universal Orlando and select nights from September 3rd at Universal Studios Hollywood the haunted house adaption of the Oscar-winning film Sinnerswill be coming to the parks! The house’s arrival comes after the Warner Bros. Discovery film made over $370 million at the global box office and scored a record-breaking 16 Oscar nominations with four wins. Guests will be able to step into the juke joint set in 1930s Mississippi, and are in for a terrifying experience behind closed doors!


Original Haunted Houses:

  • At Halloween Horror Nights there’s an addition to the original haunted house line up with Cybergoria – an all-new experience that transports guests into a frozen future where humanity faces a terrifying battle against powerful machines.

  • Alongside this Jack and Oddfellow: Chaos & Control guides guests through an original, twisted story as the two characters ally together to wreak havoc amongst guests.  

  • At INVASION: Alien Abduction, guests can see a terrifying encounter with an aggressive, unseen alien craft that has abducted a family and its livestock from a remote homestead.

  • In the all-new haunted house Halloween Fright-Tacular H.R. Bloodengutz returns after his descension into violent madness where he tortured his crew when his show was cancelled.

  •  MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals features a post-apocalyptic wasteland where almost all life is extinct, causing humans to feast on each other for survival. As guests try to seek shelter in the ruins of an old zoo, they find out they’re not alone when a tribe of predatory cannibals set out to make them their prey. 

Last night in the Devlin Hotel, trade and press had a sneak peak of Jack and Oddfellow who came fully-dressed in their terrifying attire to give everyone a squeal inside the movie theatre!
