Samoa Celebrates Launch of New Qantas Direct Flights from Auckland, Opening New Pathways for Pacific Travel

Samoa is celebrating the launch of Qantas’ new direct Auckland–Apia service, a significant step forward in strengthening Pacific connectivity and opening new travel opportunities for visitors from New Zealand and around the world.

The new service provides greater accessibility to Samoa’s unique blend of culture, natural beauty, and renowned island hospitality, while also creating an exciting new travel option for international visitors already exploring New Zealand who wish to extend their journey with an authentic South Pacific island experience.

The inaugural Qantas service was celebrated with a traditional welcome ceremony at Faleolo International Airport, hosted by the Samoa Tourism Authority (STA), showcasing Samoa’s renowned hospitality and the cultural experiences that await arriving visitors.

The new route marks an important milestone in regional air connectivity, making it easier for travellers to access Samoa for holidays, family visits, cultural experiences, and island escapes.
