Ryanair carried 20.1 million passengers across its route network in September, representing a 4% year-on-year increase.

The airline’s latest monthly operational statistics show a 94% load factor for the month. Overall, Ryanair operated more than 111,700 flights in September. However, more than 1,000 flights were cancelled due to Mount Etna eruptions in Sicily, air traffic control staff strikes in Belgium and, of course, the high profile system breakdown at UK air traffic control operator NATS.

On a rolling 12-month basis – covering September 2025 through September 2026 – Ryanair saw its passenger numbers jump by 5% to 215.1 million people, with a load factor of 94%.
