Meet Boston Impresses Irish Travel Trade and Media With Lunch at DÍON
ITTN’s Saoirse spent a fabulous afternoon at the Meet Boston Trade and Media lunch. The lunch was highly anticipated, taking place at the beautiful new Dublin hotspot, DÍON. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and drinks while taking in the breathtaking panoramic views of the city. David O’Donnell, Meet Boston’s Vice President of Strategic Communications; Kerri Clancy, Meet Boston’s Global Sales Manager; and Tony Lane, Owner of Woodstock Communications, hosted the event.

The afternoon gave trade members a great opportunity to chat with Meet Boston representatives, as well as their peers, and discuss all the things the beautiful city of Boston has to offer their clients who travel there. With a number of airlines now offering direct services from Dublin to Boston, including Aer Lingus and JetBlue, the journey has never been easier.
Tony Lane took a moment to thank everyone for attending. He emphasised his love for the city, saying it never fails to keep him captivated and excited whenever he is there. With such rich art, history and culture all in one place, there is something new to learn and see wherever you turn in Boston. Tony ended his speech by highlighting one of his favourite things about the city: the people. Boston's locals are another reason the city feels so unique and worth visiting, and their charm is hard to replicate.
Not only is the city easy to get around and great for having a good time, but it also has something for everyone, whether you’re a sports fan, a night owl, or a foodie. With attendees immersed in DÍON's incredible dining atmosphere, it was easy for the conversation to veer toward Boston's dining experiences. While the city is most famous for its seafood and lobster cuisine, it doesn’t stop there; the city is culturally diverse, and its food scene is constantly expanding. With the endless dining choices, it is almost impossible to have a bad meal in Boston, no matter where you eat.
The afternoon ended with Kerri Clancy thanking everyone in attendance for the support the trade and media have shown Meet Boston. She hoped the afternoon served as a refresher on why Boston is the ideal travel destination for any client, and that travel agents and tour operators in Ireland will continue to drive tourism to this fantastic city.
