Loveholidays Celebrates 10 Years in Ireland

ITTN’s Lorraine Hales joined loveholidays at an intimate gathering of press & partners at Fire Restaurant at the Mansion House last night. It was a fun filled evening hosted by Clem Walshe – Commercial Director of loveholidays Ireland and team. The evening sun shone bright through to the conservatory and set the tone for a lively and relaxed holiday atmosphere for the evening.

Donat Rétif, CEO of loveholidays, congratulated the Irish team on its success in Ireland and gave some fascinating data on the growth in the Irish Market over the last ten years.

Having launched in 2016, the online travel agent offered just six short haul beach holiday destinations. Ten years later that has grown to over 80 destinations and has expanded to include city breaks and long haul holidays. The Platform has over 600,000 account members currently.

The online travel agent boasts a 16% increase in last minute bookings in May 2026 compared to May 2025.

Lanzarote remains the most popular destination with departures from Dublin, followed by Tenerife and Spains Costa Dorada, while Cork departures favour Costa del Sol and Portugal. With departures from Shannon Airport, Costa Dorada takes the top place followed by Lanzarote and Costa de Sol.

Clem contributes the success to an easy to use website, huge selection of holiday destinations, low deposits, price match guarantees and protected holiday packages.
