Explora Journeys Elevates the Monaco Grand Prix Experience
Explora Journeys is bringing its signature style of luxury ocean travel back to one of the world’s most glamorous sporting events, with reservations now open for the FORMULA 1® GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2027 aboard EXPLORA I.
From 2 to 7 June 2027, the luxury ship will return to Port Hercule for a third consecutive year, positioned just 150 metres from the famous circuit. For guests, it offers a rare combination: being at the heart of the Formula 1 action while enjoying a private, sophisticated retreat just moments from the crowds.
The Monaco Grand Prix is as much a social occasion as it is a sporting event, and Explora Journeys is creating an experience that reflects both sides of the weekend. Guests can choose a suite-only stay or a suite combined with three-day Grandstand access, with a three-day F1 Paddock Club hospitality option also opening shortly.

“Monaco has become an important part of the Explora Journeys story,” says Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “Being in the heart of Port Hercule for Formula 1, one of the world’s most celebrated events, allows us to bring together so much of what our guests value: privileged access, exceptional gastronomy and hospitality, and a seamless way to experience the very best of the race weekend.”
EXPLORA will offer guests oceanfront suites with private terraces, six restaurants, 12 bars and lounges, premium beverages and an extensive wellness offering including spa and fitness facilities. The idea is to allow guests to move effortlessly between the excitement of the circuit and the calmer pace of life onboard.

Grandstand access offers three-day tickets to watch the Formula 1 sessions from one of Monaco’s prime viewing locations. The forthcoming Paddock Club package takes the experience a step further, with gourmet hospitality, pit-lane walks, and appearances by Formula 1 legends.
Explora has already established itself as part of the Monaco Grand Prix social scene. Previously, it has welcomed motorsport legends including Sir Jackie Stewart, Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard, and hosted high-profile events during race weekend.

For travellers who want to turn the Grand Prix into a longer Mediterranean escape, they can combine their Monaco stay with journeys before or after the event. Options include sailing from Rome to Monaco from 24 May to 7 June, continuing from Monaco to Barcelona from 2 to 14 June, or combining both for a longer Rome-to-Barcelona journey.
With its privileged position in Port Hercule, EXPLORA I offers a distinct way to experience Monaco: close enough to feel the roar of the circuit, yet with the privacy, space, and understated luxury of a private, yacht-inspired retreat.
As Nash adds: “Returning for a third consecutive year reflects both the success of this experience and our ambition to continue going beyond the traditional ocean journey.”

Reservations for the suite-only and three-day Grandstand experiences are now open, with the Paddock Club hospitality package to follow. For more information, bookings or enquiries, please visit Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco
