The Hotel’s experienced team creates a celebratory Christmas Day ambience, with five-star service, dining, and entertainment, plus a festive atmosphere.
InterContinental Dublin’s Christmas Residential Two-Night Stays are now available to book, guests can arrive in style on December 24th and depart on December 26th, or arrive on December 25th for a restful, indulgent two-day, one-night break. Add additional nights at an exclusive rate, and upgrade to a suite for a fitting festive treat.

InterContinental Dublin is famed for its festive décor and floral displays, including the Hotel’s famous homemade Gingerbread House, which sets the scene on arrival. Executive Pastry Chef Orna Larkin and her team create and build this seasonal addition to the Hotel’s lobby each year, a real treat for adults and children alike, and this year it will help raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Guests arriving on Christmas Eve can enjoy a festive welcome of mince pies and mulled wine, and in guestrooms, the little ones will find special festive treats to help them settle in.
The Whiskey Bar or Lobby Lounge is the place to unwind with a cocktail or a warming nightcap, enhanced by joyful festive tunes from the resident pianist throughout the Christmas period.
Christmas Day starts after Santa has visited, with a hearty, relaxed breakfast and the chance to linger over coffee or bubbles in the Lobby Lounge, perhaps followed by a refreshing walk along Sandymount Strand or Herbert Park, or a stroll through the hotel’s two acres of landscaped gardens.
A glass of bubbles welcomes guests to the Christmas Day lunch table at the newly opened Simmons Restaurant, where they can enjoy a sumptuous four-course festive feast with all the trimmings, prepared by Executive Chef Alberto Rossi and his team.
Christmas Day menu includes starters such as a Seafood Plate with Smoked Salmon, Crab Salad, Dressed Prawns; Seared King Scallops; St Tola Goats Cheese Mille-Feuille; Winter Game, Foie Gras with Pistachio; Roasted Butternut Squash followed by mains of Traditional Turkey and Ham – with Butter Poached Potato, Vegetable Parcel, Chestnut stuffing, Turkey Jus; Fillet of Beef Rossini Style with a Sourdough Crust, Foie Gras, Black Truffle, Chianti Sauce; Winter Pithivier - Butternut Squash, Cabbage, Parsnip, Celeriac, Rainbow Chard, or Pan Fried Atlantic Halibut, followed by a selection of delicious seasonal desserts created by Orna Larkin.
For guests arriving on the 25th, Simmons Restaurant will serve Christmas dinner. Guests are welcome to relax in the Hotel’s Spa and Wellness area at any time during their stay, with its 14-metre indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room, and gym facilities.

Festive Dining & Seasonal Catch Ups at InterContinental Dublin
Simmons Restaurant, the Hotel’s new signature restaurant, led by Head Chef Abhimanyu Behl, is the ideal location to gather for festive gatherings with friends and family. Overlooking the terrace gardens, Simmons is a new contemporary Irish restaurant rooted in seasonality and provenance, taking its design cues from the glamour of classic European grand cafés, with a warm, sociable atmosphere.
Take a stool at the stunning central Bar clad in veined Calacatta Viola stone, a natural gathering place for pre-dinner aperitifs. Behl’s approach to cooking is guided by a respect for exceptional ingredients and the changing seasons, and he and his team bring a fresh perspective to Simmons’ culinary vision, creating menus that celebrate contemporary Irish cuisine while drawing inspiration from global influences and modern techniques. Experience the warm service led by Maître d Nick Munier and his team as you gather with family and friends for festive dinners throughout December. A three course Table d’ Hote menu, priced at €80pp is available over the festive period from November 23rd to 30th December (excluding 24th, 25th and 31st December).
For more intimate gatherings, the Simmons Private Dining Room provides an elegant space for festive celebrations and seasonal entertaining.
Dining throughout the Christmas period is meticulously planned at InterContinental Dublin, with light bites and snacks served in The Lobby Lounge, where the Hotel’s famed Festive Afternoon Tea is served from November 23rd to January 3rd, 2027, daily from 12.00 pm – 5.30 pm.
This sumptuous seasonal treat, created by Executive Pastry Chef Orna Larkin, includes delicious seasonal savoury sandwiches, homemade fluffy scones and Orna’s surprise festive sweet treats, including for 2026 sweet treats like Espresso Martini Yule Log; White Chocolate, Coconut and Mint Macaron; Orange and Cardamom Paris Brest; and Christmas Pudding Basque Cheesecake.
Festive Afternoon Tea is available at €70 per person, or €92 per person with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne. A Children's Festive Afternoon Tea is also available at €38 per child. Advance booking is required.
