Espacio Iberia Returns to Madrid This September for Its Fifth Consecutive Year

Espacio Iberia is set to return to Madrid for its fifth consecutive year. Through this successful cultural and experiential initiative, the airline once again invites visitors, customers and employees to discover the Iberia experience without leaving the heart of the Spanish capital. From 2 to 27 September, Espacio Iberia will be hosted at the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), a landmark venue in the city centre. Spanning more than 1,100 square metres, the space will showcase the airline’s latest innovations, with a particular focus on its premium customer experience.

Step Inside the New Iberia Emerald Lounge

One of this year’s highlights will be a recreation of the new Iberia Emerald Lounge, located in Terminal 4 at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, which is due to open in the coming weeks.

Visitors will be able to preview this exclusive new space, designed for Iberia Platino, Platino Prime, Infinita, Infinita Prime, Singular and oneworld Emerald customers, offering a premium environment that combines elegant design, comfort and privacy.

Activities for All Ages 

As in previous editions, Espacio Iberia will feature some of its most popular immersive experiences, including the flight simulator, where visitors can experience what it is feels like to be a pilot by taking off and landing at some of the Iberia’s destinations under the guidance of a professional instructor.

Technology and innovation—two key pillars of Iberia’s Flight Plan 2030—will also play a central role. Visitors will be able to explore Iberia’s newest destinations through interactive AI-powered experiences or take a personalised travel quiz to discover which destination best matches their personality.

The venue will also include a garden area where guests can relax and unwind.

Gastronomy, Concerts and Talks  

Gastronomy will once again take centre stage with wine and beer tastings, destination-inspired culinary experiences and live showcooking sessions led by expert chefs.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience Iberia’s Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins aboard the Airbus A350. They will be able to sit in the airline’s latest-generation seats while enjoying complimentary tastings of the onboard menus served in each cabin. This highly popular experience will once again be available by prior reservation.

The programme will also include talks, concerts and workshops as part of Iberia’s Talent on Board initiative, which supports Spanish talent across a wide range of disciplines. These events will take place in the venue’s Open Forum.

In addition, visitors will find a dedicated merchandise shop featuring a carefully curated selection of Iberia products, as well as a ticket sales point where they can book their next trip.

A Dedicated Space for ‘El Cubo de Otto’ 

Another new feature this year will be a listening corner dedicated to Otto’s Cube, Iberia’s immersive podcast designed to help people overcome their fear of flying.

Visitors will be invited to put on a pair of headphones and immerse themselves in a unique audio experience that combines expert insights, storytelling and real-life testimonies.

A Fully Accessible Venue

The Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) is located at 63 Hortaleza Street, between the Justicia and Malasaña neighbourhoods.  

Iberia Space will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., from 2 to 27 September.

The venue is fully accessible, with step-free access, adapted seating and accessible parking with direct access to the exhibition space.
