Carnival Slashes Food Waste and Greenhouse Gas Intensity

Carnival Corporation – the world’s largest cruise company – has cut its greenhouse gas intensity by 21% compared to its 2019 benchmark and slashed food waste by 42% as part of its Less Left Over strategy, this year.

Earlier this year, the company was also honoured by the ESG Shipping Awards with the Community Contribution Leader Award, recognising Celebration Key’s enduring economic impact and meaningful contribution for Bahamians.

Carnival has just been named in TIME’s America’s Best Companies 2026 list, recognising the company for excellence in employee satisfaction, sustained financial performance and sustainability achievements.

Companies were evaluated based on a multi-stage screening, including survey responses from 217,000 employees rating their own employers and employers from their industry, financial data such as revenue and net income growth, and corporate responsibility criteria for environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
