Carnival Cruise Line Launches 'Carnival Rewards' Loyalty Programme

Carnival Cruise Line has overhauled its customer reward system with the introduction of Carnival Rewards - a first-of-its-kind loyalty programme in the cruise industry that gives guests more ways to earn rewards and achieve status.

It is designed for all guests - from first time cruisers to Carnival veterans and enthusiasts.

"Cruise loyalty has traditionally been built around how often guests sail, and Carnival Rewards was designed to go beyond that," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. "The new programme recognises the many ways our guests engage with Carnival, and with both rewards and status, we're giving guests more flexibility and more value to enjoy the experiences that matter most to them. The new programme introduces both Carnival Rewards Points, which are earned and can be redeemed for Carnival cruises and eligible onboard experiences, plus Status Qualifying Stars, which unlock status and additional benefits. The Milestone Recognition Program further celebrates guests as they reach key sailing achievements based on the number of days sailed. Carnival Rewards Mastercard cardholders also have the opportunity to accelerate their status and earn even more Points through everyday spending beyond their Carnival vacation.

More Ways to Earn and Redeem with Carnival Rewards Points

Carnival Rewards Points put guests in the driver's seat, giving them more flexibility to earn and redeem rewards in the ways that matter most to them, regardless of status level.

• Guests earn 3 Points for every $1 spent on eligible Carnival purchases, including gratuities.

• Guests earn 1 Point for every 1 Casino Point remaining at the end of a sailing.

• Points can be redeemed toward future Carnival cruises and eligible onboard experiences, including shore excursions, specialty dining and spa treatments.

• Points are earned at the end of the sailing (posting approximately 14 days after sailing end date). Points can be redeemed as soon as they become available, creating more immediate opportunities to enjoy rewards.

A New Path to Recognition with Status Qualifying Stars

Status within Carnival Rewards is determined through Status Qualifying Stars, which recognize guest activity throughout their Carnival vacation. Guests can earn:

• 3 Stars for every $1 spent on eligible Carnival purchases, including gratuities.

• 1 Star for every Casino Point earned (even if already redeemed onboard for Funplay).

• Four status levels: Red (upon enrollment), Gold (upon earning 10,000 Stars), Platinum (upon earning 50,000 Stars), and Diamond (upon earning 100,000 Stars).

Status is earned during a two-year Status Qualifying Window and enjoyed during the remainder of that period and the following two-year status enjoyment window. The inaugural qualifying period will run from Sept. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028, giving guests an extended opportunity to earn Status Qualifying Stars for the first qualifying window.

Celebrating Every Journey Through Milestones

Enhance Rewards with Carnival Rewards Mastercard

The new Carnival Rewards™ Mastercard®, a first-of-its-kind card in the cruise industry, is designed to extend the value of Carnival Rewards.  The card empowers cardmembers to earn rewards through everyday spend and redeem them to enhance their Carnival experience.  The Carnival Rewards Mastercard allows guests to earn rewards for Carnival vacations through everyday spend.

Key card benefits include:
