Last night, ITTN’s Saoirse Cross Smith spent a fabulous evening at the Ivy Restaurant, in Dublin, celebrating the launch of Caribtours' new brochure dedicated to the Irish market.

Attendees enjoyed a drinks reception, before sitting down to a delicious three course meal, and ending the night with a prize draw. The Travel Agent Training Dinner was hosted by Paul Cleary, CEO of Caribtours; Alan Sparling, Founder & Managing Director of ASM Ireland; Joanne Sparling, Strategic Account Manager and co-founder of ASM Ireland; and Isabel Amison, Trade Sales Manager of Caribtours. A number of key partners were also in attendance.

Before the starters arrived, Alan Sparling took a moment to thank the suppliers of Caribtours and the key partners of the event, as well as his fellow hosts, and the members of the travel trade that continue to support the company.

With 47 years in business, 7 years in the Irish market, and each member of their award winning team having at least 13 years in the company, he emphasised the amount of experience the company has within the industry. With the wide range of destinations covered by Caribtours, including recent additions Sri Lanka and Lapland, there are endless experiences to be had with them. Mr Sparling also highlighted the section within the new brochure that includes the Irish language, which was a beautiful touch for the evening.

Alison Jared attended the event, representing Star Clippers, and shared all about the experiences that are available when travelling with them. Star Clippers is a cruise line that operates authentic recreations of classic 19th century tall sailing ships and is the perfect option for clients looking for a completely unique holiday, with many ‘off the beaten track’ adventures available. She emphasised the indescribable feeling of star gazing beneath the sound of a sail, something everyone should experience for themselves.

Royal Hideaway Corales Resort and Villas Tenerife was another key partner of the evening, represented by Sara Ibaceta. Sara gave a beautifully detailed presentation on everything the resort and villas have to offer. As they hold 4 Michelin stars across three of the property’s restaurants, it is the perfect place to stay for any food lover. She highlighted the company’s goal for the resort and villas to be a place for clients to leave the world behind, an opportunity for them to forget about everything else.

Lisa Balsom also gave a fantastic presentation, representing another key partner, Sunlife Mauritius. With five luxury resorts ranging from 4 to 5 stars, including Sugar Beach and Ambre, Sunlife Mauritius is an option for any client; from those looking for a memorable family holiday, to others looking for an adult only getaway. The amenities and activities available across each of the properties is just another bonus, including golf courses, beautiful restaurants and even spas. There is no fear of growing bored when staying with Sunlife!

As the evening continued on, the group heard from Jonathan White, representing Barut Hotels in Türkiye. Another great option for Irish clients looking for something a little bit closer to home! Barut Hotels operates 8 main hotels/resorts, alongside BAYOU Villas, which are dedicated villa areas within some of the Barut resorts. They take pride in all they have to offer, for both families and adults only. Mr White mentioned how much the company values their staff, and in return their staff values their place within the company, with a lot of them having 20+ years experience working with Barut Hotels! That kind of experience and pride is something that shines through with every interaction between clients and staff members.

Chris Wojo from Hyatt All Inclusive, Americas came with an incredibly engaging presentation on all the Hyatt All Inclusive has to offer its clients. With numerous hotels, ranging between luxury and boutique stays, there is endless choice for Irish clientele. It values its ability to provide unlimited luxury for each individual that walks through their doors. With its properties concentrated across Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America, clients are spoiled for choice when it comes to destinations.

The final key partner of the evening was Regnum Hotels in Türkiye, presented by Deniz Ustertuna. Regnum Hotels started 14 years ago with Regnum Carya, and now includes Regnum the Crown, two ultra-luxury, 5 star all-inclusive resorts. Both properties have 22 restaurants spanning across them with master chefs always serving the best flavours, making it another fantastic option for any client that considers themselves a foodie! The Crown hotel even offers an adults-only infinity pool experience, one that is unforgettable.

A number of attendees got their hands on some amazing prizes during the draw! Prizes included a Brown Thomas voucher, a bottle of champagne, a Jo Malone gift set, a goodie bag including a bottle of champagne, and three generous hotel stays, all donated by suppliers!

The evening ended with CEO Paul Cleary expressing gratitude to the Irish travel trade for their ongoing support as the company continues to grow within the Irish market. Something he especially appreciates as a man who takes immense pride in his Irish roots! He emphasised how important the Irish market is to Caribtours and his delight to introduce their latest programme. He also thanked his fellow hosts for all the work they put into the amazing event, as well as each of the suppliers and key partners present.

Caribtours really do understand the importance of supporting the agents and operators they work with and take pride in the luxury products they offer. ITTN were delighted to witness this first-hand at last night's event.
