Azamara Cruises Elevates Golf Tourism with Premier Golf Sail & Play Partnership
Azamara Cruises has unveiled a new exclusive golf travel partnership with Premier Golf, the Official Golf Travel Partner of the PGA of America.

The collaboration introduces a collection of eight dedicated golf cruises across 2027 and 2028, inviting golfers and golf lovers to pair rounds at some of the world’s most renowned courses with Azamara’s intimate, destination-focused style of cruising.
Spanning all four Azamara ships, the collection journeys across Ireland, Scotland, the British Isles, Northern Europe, the Pacific Coast, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Along the way, guests can experience celebrated golf courses, immersive shore experiences and Azamara’s signature longer stays and late nights in port.
The collection boasts access to iconic courses such as Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, Torrey Pines South in California and Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand. The opportunity to play legendary links courses combined with the elevated experience of travelling with Azamara Cruises will provide golfers a new way to combine their favourite sport with the freedom to explore and immerse themselves in some of the world’s most desirable destinations.
“Golf and travel are both driven by a sense of passion and discovery, and this partnership brings those interests together in a way that is uniquely Azamara,” said David Siewers, Chief International Sales Officer, Azamara Cruises.
“Our guests can play some of the world’s most sought-after courses while experiencing the intimate ships, longer stays and destination immersion that set Azamara Cruises apart. It’s a new way to think about a golf getaway where the journey between rounds becomes part of the experience.”
A Golf Collection for Every Kind of Player
The Premier Golf collection offers two distinct ways to experience golf at sea: the Classic Collection and the Leisure Collection. The Classic Collection is designed for avid golfers seeking traditional links and bucket-list courses, including renowned layouts where walking is an integral part of the game. The Leisure Collection offers a more accessible approach, featuring cart-friendly courses suited to casual golfers, mixed-ability groups and travellers looking to balance time on the course with time exploring ashore.
Four of the eight Premier Golf cruises – Ireland, Scotland, British Isles and Northern Europe – offer both Classic and Leisure options, allowing guests to select the experience that best fits their playing style. The remaining four cruises – Pacific Coast, Vietnam & Thailand, Australia & New Zealand, and New Zealand & Australia – offer a single collection. Depending on the cruise and package selected, golfers can enjoy three to five[GU1] rounds, with offers generally including golf transfers, carts or caddies where applicable, lunch at each course, and welcome and farewell celebrations.

More Ways to Hit the Fairway
For travellers looking to extend their golf getaway beyond the sailing, Azamara Cruises and Premier Golf are also introducing five curated pre- and post-cruise golf experiences across four destinations: Mission Hills in Shenzhen, La Jolla in California, Sentosa Island in Singapore, and Te Arai in New Zealand. Designed to complement the core cruises, these extensions give guests the opportunity to add rounds at renowned courses while spending additional time in some of the world’s most sought-after golf destinations. Options include a post-cruise round at Torrey Pines South in La Jolla, rounds at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, and two-night escapes featuring rounds at Te Arai North and South Courses in New Zealand. Additional pre- and post-cruise experiences are in development, offering travellers even more ways to pair their golf journey with an Azamara Cruise.
“With Azamara, the journey between courses is just as important as the rounds themselves,” said Jason Vallee, Chief Operating Officer at Premier Golf. “This partnership brings together exceptional golf, remarkable destinations and a style of travel that allows golfers to experience more of each region along the way.”
Golf packages range from $2,050 to $6,995 per golfer, plus cruise fare, with inclusions varying by sailing. Travel Advisors receive a 10% commission on golf cruises, as well as a 10% commission on pre- and post-cruise land packages, in line with Azamara’s current policy.
