The Readers' Choice Awards, with its unparalleled legacy as the travel industry's longest running and most prestigious accolades, remains the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector.

André Gomes, President of Algarve Tourism Bureau, said: “This recognition from Condé Nast Traveller is a fantastic achievement for the Algarve, with both Praia da Falésia and Praia de Benagil recognised among the best beaches in Europe. To have two of our beaches highlighted in this way is a wonderful reflection of the extraordinary diversity and natural beauty of our coastline.

"From the sweeping sands and dramatic cliffs of Falésia to the unique landscape and iconic setting of Benagil, these beaches showcase just what makes the Algarve such a special destination. We are incredibly proud of this international recognition and of everyone across the region who works to ensure that visitors can enjoy our coastline while we continue to protect and preserve it for future generations.”

Known for its promise of more than 300 days of sun per year, the region is home to authentic gastronomy and a range of outdoor activities from surfing to cycling, walking, and birdwatching that attracts thrill seekers, nature lovers alike.  The Algarve’s 16 municipalities offer traditional and distinct experiences that allow for visitors to discover its rich heritage as a region.
