Air Transat Named World’s Best Leisure Airline for Eighth Time
Air Transat has once again earned international recognition, earning the title of World’s Best Leisure Airline at the Skytrax 2026 World Airline Awards. This prestigious honour marks the eighth time the company has received the title. Often referred to as the “Oscars of the airline industry,” the World Airline Awards are based on the feedback of millions of travellers worldwide. This latest distinction highlights Air Transat’s continued commitment to delivering a welcoming, enjoyable travel experience that combines comfort, high-quality service, and a strong focus on meeting customers' needs.

An Air Transat delegation, including President and Chief Executive Officer Annick Guérard, accepted the award today at the Skytrax ceremony held in London, England.

The World’s Best Leisure Airline Award is based on customer evaluations of the quality of products and services offered by leisure airlines, both onboard and on the ground. Air Transat previously won this award in 2012, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and was recognised as North America’s Best Leisure Airline in 2022.
