Aer Lingus Completes Rollout of Starlink WiFi Across Entire Narrow Body Transatlantic Fleet

Aer Lingus has confirmed it has now installed ultra-fast free Wi-Fi - powered by Starlink - across its entire narrow body transatlantic fleet.

This means customers flying to more than 10 North American destinations can stream movies and TV shows and stay connected with family and friends at 35,000 feet.

Customers travelling to Newark, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Nashville, Indianapolis, Hartford Connecticut, and Raleigh-Durham can now enjoy seamless connectivity all throughout their journeys. Additionally, Aer Lingus flights connecting Shannon with Boston and New York JFK routes are operated by Starlink-equipped aircraft.

Aer Lingus engineering teams worked to install Starlink on the airline’s eight Airbus A321LR and six Airbus A321XLR aircraft, completing this phase of the rollout in just over two months.

The work was carried out in-house by Aer Lingus Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) teams, who completed the modifications in as little as 12 hours per aircraft.

With the Starlink installation programme now complete across the airline's narrow body transatlantic fleet, Aer Lingus engineering teams will continue the rollout across the remaining widebody A330 aircraft. Starlink is expected to be available on all transatlantic aircraft before the end of 2026.

Customer feedback to Aer Lingus’ enhanced connectivity has been hugely positive, with customers connecting on multiple devices and enjoying Wi-Fi speeds that are equivalent to, if not better than, what they get at home – all throughout their journey.

“This achievement is also a testament to the expertise and dedication of our Maintenance & Engineering teams, who completed these installations at our Hangar 6 facility at Dublin Airport."

Meanwhile, Aer Lingus is reminding customers that there is limited time left to take advantage of Aer Lingus’ transatlantic sale, with flights available from €199 each way as part of a return journey. The sale runs until 29 September 2026.
