A-ROSA Adds Duisburg and Vienna as New Departure Points

European river cruise line A-ROSA has added two brand new departure points - Duisburg on the Rhine and Vienna on the Danube.

For 2027, and as part of a wider brand refresh for its 25th anniversary, the river cruise line is redrawing its network with these new departure points, and is sending a familiar ship somewhere she's never been before. It's the centrepiece of a 20-itinerary refresh across the Rhine and Danube, and it gives agents a genuinely fresh set of stories to tell clients.

From 2027, Duisburg becomes the new home for A-ROSA AQUA, A-ROSA BRAVA and A-ROSA SENA.

Meanwhile, A-ROSA FLORA will reposition in Vienna, turning the Austrian capital into the new heart of the Danube programme, with 5- and 7-night capital city cruises, and longer sailings of 14 and 16 nights reaching all the way to the Cataracts and the Danube Delta.

Additionally, for the first time since she launched, A-ROSA SENA is turning south, sailing from Duisburg to Cologne, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Mainz and Andernach on two brand-new itineraries. Middle Rhine Valley, Vines & Lorelei (7 nights) threads past the Lorelei rock and the terraced vineyards of the Rheingau, with an optional vintner-hosted dinner for guests who like their view with a wine pairing. Rhine City Break in Winter (5 nights) swaps vineyards for fairy lights gliding past illuminated cities.
